The Seasons of Veuve Clicquot

For many of us mortals the seasons are divided into spring, summer, autumn and winter.    While it has always been the leaves on the trees that tip me off to a change in season, for others it is their social calendar.  (Much to my bemusement, one particular friend of ours divides his seasons by Ascot, Henley, Wimbledon and Glyndebourne).  If you are one of those living the champagne lifestyle, you might be interested in this - The Seasons of Veuve Clicquot.

 published by Rizzoli, 2011, £30

This is a social cookbook which means you get many glossy photos of the champagne events in life - the polo matches, the beaches, the ski resorts -  with a few recipes thrown in which would go swimmingly with the champers.

Special times call for a special drink and Veuve Clicquot has long been the champagne of choice for many a celebration.

This is one of those cookbooks that will look nice on a coffee table and will be a good source of inspiration for planning your next fête.
Now that Easter has arrived and the social season will soon be underway in the UK, you can get a jump on the season with recipes for
  • Champagne and Truffle Cheese Fondue
  • Duck a La Verzy
  • Escargots
  • Tiger Shrimp Tempura
  • Eton Mess with Wild Strawberries
If the champagne lifestyle is for you, then you might want to say 'cheers' to The Seasons of Veuve Clicquot.
